Forbidden access tubecast1/31/2024 I do agree that you probably don't want to just send the default page to the user. Show customizes error messages which the user can easily understand and also does not expose any security structure of your application.īottom line - Any kind of errors must be handled and customized before informing the user. Always think in the user's perspective when you prepare the error messages. So that he will at least know what is happening.Įrror handling is the solution for your problem. If you really want to redirect him somewhere, show him a a neat customized message and then redirect him. When user tries to access something and it redirects him straight to the Home page or any other page, it will spoil the usability and the users interest in your application. To answer your second question, Redirecting to some other page does not seem to be a good user friendly idea. There is a fair chance of getting exposed if he finds out the security patterns in your application because the attacks he tries to break your application will be accurate or at least a bit more specific. On the other hand if the user is a technical person (lets say a bad one), there is a chance for him to get the glimpse or an overall idea of your security structure of your application. He will not know what to do solve the error which he dint understand. If the user is a non-technical person, this kind of error messages can highly annoy him with all the technical stuff in it. It has both security and user experience issues. Showing a default error page that has the exact technical details in it is not a good practice. To answer your first question, It is not good to show this error to the end user. This will provide additional security that the person is truly who they claim to be when accessing the protected resource. If this is an extremely sensitive resource, consider segregating it and require dual-factor authentication. So continue to return a 403 but don't include verbose diagnostic information. Again, a 403 just means you're unauthorized to view a particular resource after successfully logging in. However, a 403 is much different from a server error such as an HTTP 500 where interesting information is printed to the screen. While many have commented on turning off detailed error messages, I would agree that this is a best practice. Hopefully the authorization process is robust enough to thwart further damage (i.e. In your scenario, the "bad guys" have already logged in successfully. If the user legitimately needs access, the helpdesk ticket can be quickly processed knowing they're getting a 403.active directory), this provides the necessary information for the user that perhaps they logged in with the wrong account and should try another. For systems with multiple accounts (i.e.However I would advise against that since returning a 403 provides the following benefits: Per RFC2616, an HTTP 404 could be used instead. Yes, all it means is that authentication was successful but the account is not authorized to view this resource. Corpse party seiko loses paper1/31/2024 Now, would he still off himself? I think so, either before or after going home, what he went through like, knowing he took pictures of that corpse, even going as far as digging through it to get the bag with the tongue, admiring the corpse like a psycho only to find out that that corpse was your best friend's? Damn. I get the feeling he would have found out either way that the corpse was Mayu's, there's no doubt about that. Either way, I find it difficult for him to eventually meet the gang and decide to go home without finding Mayu, unless someone would tell him about the events that led to her, you know, but I digress. However, the students do not realize that these charms are connected to Heavenly Host Academyan elementary school that was destroyed years ago after a series of gruesome murders took place, a school that rests under the foundation of. using small paper charms shaped like dolls. Roaming the halls of HH alone sure is dangerous, and sooner or later he would eventually meet his fate, either by going fully insane or dying due to countless reasons, who knows. So todays blog is about a horror anime called corpse party. Now, as for Morishige, I believe he's a lost cause. That is, unless someone was willing to lend theirs to Seiko so she can return or simply not coming back (which sounds completely nuts). Ok, let's suppose Naomi didn't get possessed by the darkening, and Seiko got to live at least until the final encounter at the underground bomb shelter, Seiko still wouldn't get to come home since she lost her paper scrap back in chapter 1, meaning she would either spend her days at HH and eventually succumb to her fate or by some miracle find her paper scrap (which is very unlikely). Phpstorm for mac m11/30/2024 Various proofs of concept already exist, and performance seems extremely promising. I expect that, eventually, we’ll be able to run ARM-based Windows with commercial tooling. I don’t expect VirtualBox to be updated anytime soon. However, both VMware and Parallels are working on it. Currently, none of the Mac virtualization solutions support Apple Silicon. To test our Windows PDF SDK, most folks are using a VMware virtual machine with Windows 10 and Visual Studio. We at PSPDFKit will have some work to do to add ARM support (something already on the roadmap), so this is only a transitional issue. I expect a solution that runs ARM-based containers in Q1 2021. There are more hacky ways to use Apple’s Hypervisor to run Docker containers manually, but they need ARM-based containers. Docker posted a status update blog post admitting that its client currently won’t work with Apple Silicon, but that the company is working on it. We use Docker to automate our website and load environments for our Web and Server PDF SDKs. Update 4 (May 2021): This is now fixed with Xcode 12.5 and macOS 11.3. Update 3: Great news! The WebKit crash when running on Rosetta 2 will be resolved with a future update in Big Sur. As a workaround, ensure at least one Simulator window is onscreen and visible. Update 2: I’ve heard that the choppy mouse cursor is an Xcode/Simulator bug, and it’s currently being worked on. Performance seems acceptable if you restrict parallel testing to, at most, two instances - otherwise, the system simply runs out of RAM and swapping is really slow. This isn’t great, but luckily we’re not using WebKit a lot in our current project. Update: We’re working around the WebKit crashes for now via detecting Rosetta 2 translation at runtime and simply skipping the tests where WebKit is used. There is a chance that Apple fixes these issues, but it’s not something to count on - given that this only affects older versions of iOS, the problem will at some point just “go away.” With our current schedule, we plan to drop iOS 12 in Q3 2021 and iOS 13 in Q3 2022, so it’ll be a while before we can fully move to Apple Silicon. However, it seems we’ll have to restrict tests to iOS 14 for that to work. We were extremely excited to be moving our CI to Mac minis with the M1 chip and are waiting on MacStadium to release devices. Some simulators even make problems on iOS 14 an example of this is iPad Air (4th generation), which still emulates Intel, so try to avoid that one. Performance also seems really bad, with Xcode periodically freezing, and the whole system becoming so slow that the mouse cursor gets choppy. It seems WebKit crashes in a memory allocator, throwing EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION (code=EXC_I386_INVOP, subcode=0x0) (Apple folks: FB8920323). Moving the simulator to the same architecture as shipping devices will be beneficial and will help find more bugs. Our tests mostly ran just fine, although I found a bug specific to arm64, which we missed before, as we don’t run our tests on actual hardware on CI. Apple’s last experiment with fanless MacBooks was the 12-inch version from 2017, which builds the same project in 41 minutes. One can’t overstate how impressive this is for a fanless machine. For comparison, my Hackintosh builds the same in less than 5 minutes. Compiling the PSPDFKit PDF SDK (debug, arm64) can almost compete with the fastest Intel-based MacBook Pro Apple offers (to date), with 8:49 minutes vs. I bought a MacBook Air 16 GB M1 to see how viable it is as a main development machine - here’s an early report after a week of testing. The excitement around Apple’s new M1 chip is everywhere. Reset hexcells1/30/2024 RYBīut there are so many interesting twists in the RYB approach. Similarly to Hexcells, colouring a shape will reveal information about that shape’s neighbours. In principle, RYB tells you the number of differently coloured neighbours each shape has, and the players job is to figure out the colours. RYB assigns shapes a colour: initially, they can be one of three colours (red, yellow or blue) but this later expands to six. Hexcells is a binary pursuit, hexes are either on or off. In contrast, I found the abstract RYB (FLEB, 2016) more invigorating. I was able to complete the whole set of levels in under two hours although the followup Hexcells Plus (Matthew Brown, 2014) requires a lot more chinstroking. Find the blue hexes using local Minesweeper information such as the number of blue neighbours and, later in the game, aggregate Picross information such as number of hexes in a row. Hexcells (Matthew Brown, 2013) is an interesting Picross/ Minesweeper hybird. In contrast, Picross tends to be more zen you just keep filling in the board until you’ve got it. Now, Minesweeper has a little rogue in its machinery, make one mistake and it’s game over. You spend your time wringing out deductions from a scarcity of information. Picross games often function like Minesweeper: only if you solve the whole picture will the game declare you a winner. From this, you have to figure out the shape contained in the grid. Numbers down the edge of a grid indicate the number of “coloured” cells in each row and column. There are a lot of Picross games, none of which I have played. I thoroughly enjoyed Cosmic Express last year which focuses the player on sequence and efficient use of space. From these humble constraints, a dizzying variety of puzzles emerge. Perhaps most challenging are the little green aliens that “soil” a carriage – other races will refuse to board a soiled carriage which tends to soil your perfect solution. There are variations such as a crossroads piece and portals. This time, the player’s route must pick up all alien passengers, drop them at their destinations then leave the level. It has a single train with limited space for passengers. You know you’ve made it when someone writes up the latest “how to make a smash hit” on your game.Ĭosmic Express could not be more different. However, Trainyard enjoyed much success, being one of the early indie breakouts in the nascent years of the App Store. Trainyard was not for me because I did not enjoy predicting where multiple trains would be at particular times by counting squares or running experiments. There are twists, of course: if trains “collide” their colours will combine and they will change colour if they travel through “painting squares”. Once you’ve drawn the rail, you start the trains and watch what happens. Each train has a colour and must arrive at a correspondingly coloured station. In Trainyard, the player must draw a rail to connect train depots to a destination. Rail-based puzzles such as Trainyard (Matt Rix, 2010) and Cosmic Express (Hazelden & Davis, 2017) are also algorithm games. We need not play recent Opus Magnum (Zachtronics, 2017) to delve into the world of algorithm puzzles, although we might not get such delectable GIFs. They are programming metaphors, asking the player to construct an algorithm that solves a given problem. I’ll admit I haven’t seriously played any Zachtronics titles but they all share a common trait. In this article, effectively the final part of a trilogy on puzzle innovation, I want to head away from well-worn genres and talk about designs which feel more fresh. In the last two Ouroboros essays, we’ve talked about how puzzle design iteration is innovative and examined a particular design lineage. This is the tenth part of The Ouroboros Sequence, a series on puzzle games. Dossier testimony1/30/2024 Their decision to publish the reports without verifying the allegations was criticized by journalists. It was published by BuzzFeed News on January 10, 2017, without Steele's permission. It also alleges that Russia sought to damage Hillary Clinton's candidacy. The dossier's 17 reports allege that Trump campaign members and Russian operatives had conspired to cooperate in Russia's election interference to benefit Trump. Steele, a former head of the Russia Desk for British intelligence (MI6), was writing the report for the private investigative firm Fusion GPS, who were paid by Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC). The dossier is an unfinished 35-page compilation of raw intelligence based on information from initially anonymous sources known to the author, counterintelligence specialist Christopher Steele. Some have been publicly confirmed, others are plausible but not specifically confirmed, and some are dubious in retrospect but not strictly disproven. While Steele's documents played a significant role in initially highlighting the general friendliness between Trump and the Putin administration, the veracity of specific allegations is highly variable. Several key allegations made in June 2016 were later corroborated by the January 2017 report by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, namely that Vladimir Putin favored Trump over Hillary Clinton that he personally ordered an "influence campaign" to harm Clinton's campaign and to "undermine public faith in the US democratic process" that he ordered cyberattacks on both parties and that many Trump campaign officials and associates had numerous secretive contacts with Russian agents. The Steele dossier, also known as the Trump–Russia dossier, is a controversial political opposition research report written from June to December 2016, containing allegations of misconduct, conspiracy, and cooperation between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and the government of Russia prior to and during the 2016 election campaign. Solasta crown of the magister voice cast1/30/2024 That said there will be additions on the gameplay side in the character creator. Q: Will there be new races or classes in the new DLC?Ī: No, there won’t be any new classes / races in the next DLC - as stated above, we focused our efforts on making a new adventure this time. Q: Will we be able to create quests in the dungeon maker?Ī: It is something we are working on (quests, dialogues…), we hope to release it at the same time as the DLC. The story will take place somewhere different than Crown of the Magister.Ī: Hopefully in a few months, stay tuned to social media for the announcement. The goal this time is to offer more content. A full new adventure in the world of Solasta.Q: Would you be open to community collaborations to improve translations?Ī: We are aware of certain translation issues (in Russian for example) but due to potential complications with French laws regarding free labor we'd need to check that up first.Ī: Although we don't want to reveal too much about it for now, here is some information: That said if it ever changes in the future, we will make an announcement. Q: Will the setting book that was part of the Kickstarter be available in the future?Ī: As much as we would love to, we currently can't for legal reasons. Unity is fairly limited in what we can collect :( Q: Do you have any stats about the most/least popular classes/subclasses?Ī: I don't believe we have those statistics. Q: Will you do a crossover with Amplitude to do an Endless Dungeon?Ī: I don’t think so, though we never know what the future holds. Q: Will there be future opportunity for voice acting?Ī: There will be new voiced lines in the next DLC, but we work with an audio partner when it comes to Voice Acting - so we rarely pick up specific voice actors ourselves (mostly due to logistical reasons). Also keep in mind that we are a French studio, so you would need live in France & speak French fluently to join us^^ That said we do have English partners so you could end up working with us on Solasta or one of our future projects!
